Anna Sui
I love how happy the models look, and the clothes, and the Animal Collective in the background. Dreamlike.

Rockout.
I haven't been finding as much inspiration in the blogosphere/fashion magazines as I would like to as of late. I don't know if you guys remember or followed the first season of Project Runway, but I really loved the simple idea behind Jay McCarroll's final collection, that the worlds of music and fashion are very much intertwined and music often inspires fashion, so essentially you could call this post my little tribute to Jay. Anyway, here are some musical artists with great style. I wouldn't really say that all of these outfits are particularly unique, but they inspire me, so I wanted to post them:
The Kills
My Man, Devendra
The Lovely and Weird Joanna Newsom
MGMT
Bat for Lashes
Check them all out on last.fm if you haven't heard of them, though I'm sure you probably have. You can find my page here.
Oh, and here's Jay's show at New York Fashion Week, if you're curious or haven't seen it!

Erin Wasson = Overrated.
She's all over the fashion blogging world right now, and I can't understand the obsession. I suppose I could have early on, when she wasn't being copied by every fashion blogger...oh, and before she opened her mouth:
"The people with the best style for me are the people that are the poorest. Like, when I go down to Venice beach and I see the homeless, like, I'm like, 'Oh my God, they're pulling out, like, crazy looks and they, like, pulled shit out of like garbage cans.'"
WTF, Wasson? You suck.
How can Nylon possibly promote this as fashion? I love Nylon as much as the next girl, but come on! Maybe some homeless people try to be fashionable, but I'm pretty sure that they get these "crazy looks" because they are trying to keep warm/cover their bodies. I can't believe Erin Wasson would say something so stupid and even worse, I can't understand why Nylon would endorse this. It disgusts me.
